1968.- Thai Chartchai Chionoi knocked out Mexican Efren “Alacrán” Torres in 13 rounds, defending the WBC flyweight title, at the Cuatro Caminos Bullfight, in Naucalpan, State of Mexico.

1978.- Nicaraguan Alexis Arguello knocked out Puerto Rican Alfredo Escalera in 13 rounds in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to win the WBC super featherweight title.

1995.- Mexican Gabriel Ruelas knocked out American Fred Liberatore in the second round at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada, defending his WBC super featherweight title.

2006.- “Night of Champions” was held in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico as a boost plus support, following the damage caused by Hurricane Wilma. This unprecedented event carried out via the initiative of Don José Sulaimán and Pepe Gómez, was attended by Evander Holyfield, Ken Norton, Lennox Lewis, Roberto Durán, Julio César Chávez, Laila Ali, Michael Spinks, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Ricardo López , Héctor Camacho, Alexis Argüello, Jackie Nava, Wilfredo Gómez, Jeff Fenech, Carlos Zarate, Raúl Macías, Rubén Olivares, Ana María Torres, Jelena Mrdjenovich, Daniel Zaragoza, Erik Morales, Humberto González, among others.

2006.- The Aztec Princess Jackie Nava defended her WBC super bantamweight title, defeating Kelsey Jeffries by decision, at the Plaza de Toros de Cancún.

2006.- The Mexican Jorge “Travieso” Arce defeated the Nicaraguan Adonis Rivas by knockout in the seventh round, defending his interim WBC flyweight title, in the Plaza de Toros in Cancun.

2006.- German Markus Beyer defended his WBC super middleweight title, defeating Italian Alberto Colajanni by knockout in 12 rounds, in a fight held in Berlin, Germany.

2017.- American Mikey Garcia conquered the WBC lightweight title, knocking out the previously undefeated Dejan Zlaticanin of Montenegro in 3 rounds. The match took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2017.- In one of the best fights of the year, Mexican Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt defeated his compatriot Francisco “Bandido” Vargas in 11 rounds, in Indio, California. With this victory, Berchelt was crowned WBC super featherweight champion.
