Ruben Olivares stopped Isidro Sotelo in the opening round to a start his professional career with a knockout. Olivares, one of the greatest bantamweights ever, reeled off another 23 KOs before he was taken the distance by Felipe Gonzalez.
After being held to a draw three fights later, the Mexican rattled off 34 wins, 31 by knockout, before losing for the first time to rival Chucho Castillo on a cut.
