On this day in history, Barkley bounces back with world title win

Iran Barkley destroyed Darrin Van Horn in two rounds to become a two-weight world champion.

Barkley, who lost his WBC middleweight crown to Roberto Duran three years earlier, dropped Van Horn three times in the second round to win the 168lb belt.

Just two months later, Barkley moved up to light heavyweight and claimed a second victory over Thomas Hearns to secure a world title in a third weight division.
