1976.- Muhammad Ali knocked out Jean Pierre Coopman in the fifth round, defending his WBC heavyweight title, in a fight held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

1976.- Puerto Rican Alfredo Escalera knocked out José Fernandez in round 13, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, defending his WBC super featherweight title.

1983.- In San Juan, Puerto Rico, Juan Laporte defeated Mexican Ruben Castillo by decision in 12 rounds, in a match where the WBC featherweight title was at stake.

1985.- Thai Sot Chitalada knocked out British Charlie Magri in 5 rounds, in a fight held in London, where the WBC flyweight title was on the line.

1993.- At the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, a big card called Poker de Ases was held, with three WBC title bouts. Julio César Chávez defeated Greg Haugen by knockout in the fifth round, defending his WBC super lightweight title.

In another bout, Azumah Nelson defeated Gabriel Ruelas, by decision in 12 rounds, defending his super featherweight title.

Terry Norris knocked out Maurice Blocker in the second round, defending his super welterweight title.

1997.- Filipino Gerry Peñalosa defeated Japanese Hiroshi Kawashima by decision, in a match held in Tokyo, where the WBC super flyweight title was at stake.

2010.- Dominican Elio Rojas, defeated the Mexican Guty Espadas Jr by decision, defending his WBC featherweight title, in a fight held in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.

2021.- Oscar Valdez knocked out Miguel Berchelt in 10 rounds in Las Vegas, Nevada, winning the WBC super featherweight title.
