1963.- American Dennis Moyer conquered the WBC super welterweight title defeating Stan Harrington by decision in 15 rounds, in a match held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

1978.- Mexican Freddie Castillo conquered the WBC light flyweight crown, defeating Venezuelan Luis Estaba by knockout in 14 rounds, in a fight held in Caracas, Venezuela.

1994.- Mexican Humberto “Chiquita” Gonzalez defeated American Michael Carbajal by decision in Inglewood, California. With this victory, González regained the WBC light flyweight title.

2000.- Erik “Terrible” Morales defeated Marco Antonio Barrera in one of the best fights of the year, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. With this victory Morales retained the WBC super bantamweight title.

2005.- American Bernard Hopkins defeated Howard Eastman, from Guyana, by decision, in Los Angeles, California. With this win Hopkis retained his WBC middleweight title.

2011.- Filipino Flash Nonito Donaire was crowned WBC bantamweight champion, by knocking out Mexican Fernando Montiel in the second round, in a fight held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
