1966.- Mexican Vicente Saldivar knocked out American Floyd Robertson in the second round in Mexico City, defending his WBC featherweight title.

1977.- Puerto Rican Esteban De Jesus defended his WBC lightweight title, defeating Japanese Buzzsaw Yamabe, in a bout held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

2000.- Australian Kostya Tszyu defended his WBC super lightweight title, knocking out Mexican Ahmed Santos in 8 rounds in Uncasville, Connecticut.
