On This Day, Esteban De Jesus defended his WBC lightweight title

February 12^th, 1977.- Puerto Rican, Esteban De Jesus, defended his WBC lightweight  crown after defeating  Japan’s , Buzzaw Yamabe via a sixth round TKO.  The fight was at the Loubriel  Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Referee Tony Perez, intervened to stop it.
