1977 – In Roit-Et, Thailand, local fighter Saensak Muangsurin defended his WBC super lightweight title by knocking out American Mike Everett in six rounds.

1989 – American Pernell Whitaker defeated Mexican José Luis Ramírez in Norfolk, Virginia. The WBC lightweight title was at stake in this fight.

2000 – Filipino Malcolm Tunacao retained his WBC flyweight title by drawing with Japanese Celes Kobayashi. The fight took place in Tokyo, Japan.

2005 – Mexican Humberto Soto won the interim WBC featherweight title by defeating American Rocky Juárez by decision. The fight took place in Rosemont, Illinois, United States.
