Omar Trinidad defends WBC Continental Americas title

On Saturday, Omar Trinidad will defend his WBC Continental Americas featherweight title against Hector Sosa at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

Trinidad (16-0-1, 12 KOs) has been a fixture on the Hollywood Fight Nights cards at the Commerce Casino, drawing large crowds. Trinidad resides 15 minutes away in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.

In his most recent fight, on July 26, Trinidad stopped Viktor Slavinskiy in the 10th round in an exceptional fight, and previously, in January, he knocked down Jose Perez twice, to win by knockout in the eighth round.

Sosa (17-2, 9 KOs), a resident of Buenos Aires, Argentina, last fought on June 30, defeating Keenan Carbajal by unanimous decision and in the previous one, on July 22, 2023, he knocked out former world title challenger James Dickens.

The card is promoted by 360 Boxing Promotions and will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass.
