No middle ground in the Midlands as Edwards and Yafai pass weigh-in

Sunny Edwards faces Galal Yafai this weekend for the WBC interim flyweight title, as the two met at a round table for the first time.

Edwards suffered his first loss at the hands of Jesse Rodriguez. However, in his most recent fight he defeated Adrian Curiel in a good performance.
Yafai, who only has 8 professional fights, is undefeated and has won 6 times by knockout. In his most recent bout, he defeated Sergio Oliva, being his second victory of 2024.

Edwards is the favorite in this fight. He has a victory over Yafai in amateur boxing.
Both fighters passed the official weigh-in of the evening, reporting themselves in excellent shape to fight for the coveted Green and Gold WBC title.
