The World Boxing Council, the Nicaraguan Institute of Sport and WBC Boxing University officially presented the certificates to the judges and referees who successfully concluded their studies, within the facilities of the Instituto del Deporte de Nicaragua where participants got connected through the WBC University platform.
Thanks to the support of Bismark Morales, who is the WBC Representative in Nicaragua and WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, these courses were a success, because as mentioned by Bismark, at the conference they were simultaneously held in Nicaragua. This country initially had some troubles adapting to boxing’s new advances and therefore there was an urgent need to improve the system of judges and referees.
We especially thank the judges José Manzur and Omar Mintún, as well as one of the best referees, Héctor Afú, who generously shared their extensive knowledge and experience with the enthusiastic apprentices.
Don Bismark Morales stressed that Nicaragua has gained a lot, thanks to the WBC, remembering Don Jose Sulaimán, who taught us all the wisdom and value of service to boxing.
Xochil Lagarda, Director of WBC Boxing University, explained that this has been the result of teamwork, where everyone played their part in order for these seminars to be so successful.
Marlon Torres Aragón, Director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports, took the microphone and congratulated all the graduates, urging them to unstintingly share their knowledge, because sport needs this boost. She also thanked WBC Mauricio Sulaimán, for his support and commitment, which were fundamental for this project, and of course to Bismark Morales, who has been a determined, steadfast plus brilliant developer of boxing in Nicaragua, with all of his knowledge, experience, kindness and courteous decency.
Our President spoke about what Nicaragua represents for him and the Sulaimán family. A country of amazing people, who have given so much glory to boxing. He thanked everyone who has made it possible for this seminar to become a viable reality. So, the participants received their official certificate in a memorable ceremony where we were able to be participants thanks to the new technologies that today brought us closer to our Nicaraguan brothers and sisters.
