
On Saturday, June 18, 2022 the Zocalo Plaza of the Mexico City, in all of its majestic traditional glory, will welcome more than 15,000 people, who will be competing in the largest boxing class in the world!
they will be coached, coaxed, guided, taught and inspired by boxing pioneers Ana María Torres, Jackie Nava and Mariana Juárez, representing the very best of women’s boxing, joined and complemented by NABF champion David Picasso.
One glorious and memorable day last year, the Guinness Record for the largest mass boxing class was shattered. It had belonged to Moscow since 2017. The next great leap for womankind and mankind was all thanks to the intrepid and enthusiastic population of Mexico City plus great world champions Oscar Valdez, Miguel Berchelt, Andy Ruiz, “Chiquita” Gonzalez, Pipino Cuevas, among many others.
Due to the tremendous success and the extraordinary participation of the people, the CDMX has decided to make the Massive Boxing Classes a regular practice and tomorrow, Saturday, June 17, the second edition will take place.
The avowed aim is to continue demonstrating that Mexico is a country of boxing and sports, of unity and team work, but above all of passion, as announced by the General Director of Indeporte Javier Hidalgo
This time, the participation of more than 30,000 people is expected, who will be conducted and orchestrated by boxing legends led by the most brilliant of all, since this year the great Mexican Champion, Julio César Chávez will be the class instructor along with Ana María Torres, David Picasso, Irma García and Erika Cruz.
