Mercado vs. Guzmán on February 6

World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion Yamileth “Yeimi” Mercado, will make the first defense of her title, against her compatriot, Alejandra “Rockera” Guzmán, top of the bill on Saturday, February 6, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

Mercado (16-2-0, 5 ko’s) and Guzmán (11-1-2, 5 ko’s) will arrive in great moment. The world champion comes from knocking out Irasema Rayas in four rounds, in a fight in which she suffered a broken nose after an accidental clash of heads.

She overcome this and accomplished a grueling camp in Los Mochis, shared with world champions and gym mates, Miguel Berchelt and Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada, with whom she even sparred.
