Lupita Martínez vs. Kika Chávez 2?

Promoter Oswaldo Kuchle, leader of Promociones del Pueblo, says he`s working to secure a  rematch between the World Boxing Council female super flyweight champion, Guadalupe Martínez and Jessica “Kika” Chávez.

Both fighters clashed this  April in Ecatepec, State of Mexico, with Lupita Martínez getting the victory and successfully defending her belt for the 4 th time, belt that she conquered by dethroning Zulina Muñoz in May 2017.

“We are looking for a rematch between ‘Kika’ Chávez and Lupita Martínez in October. The first fight they had was very entertaining, and there are the ingredients are all there for them to fight once again,” Kuchle said in an interview with the sports newspaper Esto.

He recalled that “Kika” was not entirely satisfied with the result that the judges gave that occasion.

“That is why we are also looking for a rematch, so that everything is defined in a second match and there is no doubt. It would be a very good contest between two great Mexican fighters.”
