In his third defence, Luka “Thunder” Plantic of Croatia, retained the WBC international super middleweight title by defeating Bruno Acosta in Zagreb, Croatia.

In an well matched  fight, Plantic found a tough opponent in Acosta. The Argentinean forced “Thunder” to stay defensive for a while.

Luka managed to connect with Bruno in the first, fourth and closing rounds of the bout, but although he managed to land punches, he also took punishment from the Argentinean.

The fight went to the scorecards which were scored as follows: 97-93, 98-92 and 98-93 for the Croatian’s win by unanimous decision.

With this result, Plantic managed to maintain his 12-fight unbeaten streak.

After the fight, Luka Plantic said to his fans: “Thank you all for coming, see you next year against Canelo!
