Luis Nery wins WBC eliminator

Former world champion Luis “Pantera” Nery defeated Armenian Azat ‘Crazy A’ Hovhannisyan, by technical knockout in the eleventh round.

It was a great see saw, to and fro fight of willpower, tenacity and sheer ferocity.

Nery dropped Hovhannisyan late in the tenth round, but he came back to finish the round.

Azat, bravely continued the fight, but took a lot of punishment, so Referee Ray Corona stopped the fight.

With this triumph, Nery won a World Boxing Council super bantamweight title eliminator n a card that was broadcasted by DAZN from Pomona, California.

Hovhannisyan suffered his first defeat in almost five years.
