Luis José Morejón crowned WBC Mediterranean Bridgerweight Champion

Uruguay’s Luis José Morejón captured the WBC Mediterranean Bridgerweight title after earning a unanimous decision victory over Bosnia’s Danijal Alagic in a hard-fought, high-paced contest.

From the opening bell, Morejón imposed his more precise and impactful  boxing, showcasing accuracy at mid-range and a markedly higher work rate. Alagic put up strong resistance and tried to turn the tide with explosive combinations, but the Uruguayan’s control was evident and prevalent in most rounds.

The official scorecards confirmed Morejón’s superiority: 98-92, 97-93, and 97-93. A fair result for a well-contested bout that displayed skill, effort, and sportsmanship from both fighters.

With this win, Morejón adds another accomplishment to his professional career and positions himself as a solid contender in the growing Bridgerweight division within the WBC.
