Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin (22-1) and Terrell Gausha (22-1-1) will clash on September 19 at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, on a stage without fans that will be broadcast on Showtime.
The two Premier fighters were originally scheduled to meet last October, but the fight was called off when Gausha injured his hand during training. Lubin ended up facing Nathaniel Gallimore defeating him by unanimous decision.
Lubin’s trainer Kevin Cunningham commented about the rigors of training:
“Lubin is doing a great training camp. He is doing a good job with quality fighters for this very important fight. I am analyzing a fight plan and the strategy that we will lead to victory. Camp is going cool as usual.”
Lubin will come into the fight after winning 4 matches in a row since his only professional loss to WBC super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo. Gausha last fought in May 2019 when he drew against former champion Austin Trout.
In this fight, the Silver super welterweight title of the World Boxing Council will be on the line.
