Erickson Lubin and Sebastian Fundora fight on April 9th in Las Vegas for the Interim World Boxing Council super welterweight title, presented by PBC and broadcast on SHOWTIME.
The winner between Lubin, 26, and Fundora, 24, will then face the victor of the rematch between Jermell Charlo and Brian Castaño.
Southpaw Lubin (24-1, 17 KOs), of Orlando, Fla., will be riding a six-fight win streak into the fight with Fundora. Lubin most recently knocked out former champion Jeison Rosario in the sixth round on June 26 in Atlanta.
The 6 foot and 6 inches Fundora, will have the toughest test of his career against Lubin. The lofty southpaw improved his record to 18 wins, without defeat, when he defeated Spaniard Sergio Garcia by unanimous decision in an entertaining elimination bout on December 5 in Los Angeles.
