Lila Furtado wins WBC Latino title

Brazilian Lila Furtado defeated Argentine Paola Pamela Benavidez, to win the vacant World Boxing Council Latino Super Bantamweight Title at Arena de Lutas, São Paulo, Brazil.

Lila won on points in an entertaining fight, which she dominated, proving she’s one of the best prospects in Brazil today.

“I entered the ring as the best in my country, and I had the opportunity to leave the ring as the best in Latin America in my category. I thank my rival Benavidez for the fight we had. Now I am looking for the Green and Gold world title.”

The Judges scores were: José Borges 100-90, Reginaldo Peixoto 100-90 and Julio Salomão 100-90. Walmir Giolli was the Referee.
