Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse and Abril Argentina Vidal each  have the opportunity to conquer the vacant World Boxing Council heavyweight belt Thursday night.

This time Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse wants to turn the page to a new chapter. She contested the WBC heavyweight belt  back in 2017, but she was defeated by the then monarch, Alejandra Jiménez.

After a 3-year pause, on her first fight back, she dominated the tough American Hairston from the first to the last round. She then had two excellent performances, earning a KO victory against Valeria Segovia Alonzo, followed by a unanimous decision win against Timea Nagy. This March 7, Lepage-Joanissse will have a new opportunity to capture the WBC world title.

Argentina’s Abril Argentina Vidal only has one defeat, and it was against Hannah Gabriels in Costa Rica. “Tina” has an offensive explosive style and is totally determined, motivated and hankers   to steal the show in Canada and be crowned WBC Heavyweight Monarch.
