“King” Martinez determined to repel  and banish first challenger

WBC Flyweight champion, Julio César “Rey” Martínez, will defend his crown against Welshman Jay Harris, in Frisco, Texas, on February 29, broadcast live on DAZN in the United States and on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.
“Rey” Martínez prepares in San Diego, California, at the “Canelo” Álvarez gymnasium, guided by  his coach Mauricio Aceves and his representative Eddy Reynoso.
This will be the first defense of the world title he won by defeating the Nicaraguan Cristofer Rosales and the Harris contest will be the third against a British rival.
Harris (17-0 9 KOs) is an undefeated Welshman who comes from a great victory. The 29-year-old fighter traveled to Belfast last October and defeated three-time Olympian Paddy Barnes in four rounds, demonstrating that he is ready to contest for the WBC world title.
