Julio César “Rey” Martínez, the promising prospect of the Class and Talent Company, is already training in London, putting the finishing touches to his rugged preparations to fight WBC flyweight champion Charlie Edwards, this Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, England.
The Mexican fighter who`s already done some breathtaking training at the Otomi High Altitude Center for two months, is determined to win by KO. Charlie is equally determined to give him a smarting boxing lesson.
JC was precise and fast in training with time signal jabs at Greenwich Park, where people stopped to observe. It`ll be no stroll in the park against Charlie Edwards who`ll be defending his WBC flyweight world championship for the second time.
Assisted by his coaches, Mauricio Acevez and Sergio Yáñez, “El Rey” Martínez, ran 40 minutes, and in the afternoon made 20 minutes of rope, two rounds of shadow, and worked with the pads.
With a professional record of 14-1-0, 11 Ko’s, “El Rey” Martínez said he has studied his rival meticulously and added that he is prepared to fight 12 intense rounds, if necessary, but, the KO is the only thing on his mind.
