World Boxing Council middleweight champion, Jermall Charlo, will defend his crown on December 7 against Dennis Hogan, in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions at the Barclays Center.
Charlo (29-0, 21 KOs) conquered the interim crown in April 2018 against Hugo Centeno, then successfully defended against Matt Korobov and Brandon Adams. He was subsequently named by the WBC as absolute champion after it declared “Canelo” Álvarez as franchise champion .
Charlo will have an exacting test with Hogan (28-2-1, 7 KOs), who comes from losing in a close fight against Mexican Jaime Munguía.
As part of the WBC safety regulations, both fighters have successfully submitted their respective pre-weigh ins of 30, 14 and 7 days, as well as their MRI and medical exams.
We appreciate the commitment of these warriors and their respective teams fulfilling very necessary requirements.
