On January 21, 2022, Monica Arcari, daughter of Bruno Arcari approached the José Sulaimán Fund to request help for her father, who in 2015 was diagnosed with Traumatic Dementia, something similar to Alzheimer’s and in the years following the diagnosis was changed to traumatic dementia, with severe degenerative cognitive impairment.
In 2018 Bruno was declared 100% disabled, requiring assistance 24 hours a day and he started suffering epileptic seizures which worsened the situation.
His small pension and the disability fund were too little for the type of care he requires. There were other factors involved including the Pandemic in 2020 and his 82-year-old wife with diabetes has worked so hard with his care. Bruno`s last medical check-up in November 2019.
Today, thanks to the intervention of the Fund and the prompt communication with Mónica and Roberto Arcari, Bruno spent this Christmas with his family and is stable, leaving this beautiful postcard in gratitude to all those involved. This is an incredible way to start the year 2023. This is what it`s all about. Helping one of very own!
