Jessica McCaskill is presented with WBC Championship Belt

 The World Boxing Council  welterweight champion, Jessica McCaskill, was presented with the famed Green and Gold Belt, and her coach Rick Ramos,  was also awarded  the WBC towel belt that coaches receive every time the fighter they´ve trained and meticulously prepared, conquers the World!

 Jessica is the first world champion to receive the belt minus the embossed tag “Female,” as after carefully and attentively listening to our champions and taking an important as well as necessary step towards promoting equity, the WBC Board of Governors decided that from now on, all champions will receive, exactly the same belt,  which accredits them as ring heroes and champions of their respective division.

 The presentation was made in Chicago by the WBC representative Mario Gutierrez, judge Celestino Ruiz and Illinois State Athletic Commissioner Joel Campuzano

 Jessica conquered the welterweight title by dethroning previously undefeated Norwegian superstar Cecilia Braekhus in an absorbing  fight in Tulsa, Oklahoma last August.
