Former Nicaraguan world champion Cristofer Rosales will return to the ring to face Mexican Julio César “Rey” Martinez, slated for December 13, contesting the vacant flyweight crown of the World Boxing Council.
Charlie Edwards vacated the title, so fighters ranked 1 and 2 in the WBC rating step up to contest the vacant crown.
Rosales will seeks the title he once won against Daigo Higa in 2018 when he knocked him out in Yokohama, Japan. Cristofer holds a record of 29 wins, with 20 knockouts and 4 losses.
For his part, Martínez has a record of 14 wins, 11 of them by knockout and one just one defeat.
