The World Boxing Council awards former world champion, from Spain, Javier Castillejo, with the “Heroes of Humanity” distinction, for his courage and resolute determination in the face of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
Castillejo enlisted as a Red Cross volunteer to help with the elderly in Parla, Madrid; doing their shopping, bringing them food and medicine and offering them every support they need in these difficult, challenging times.
