
This Saturday, October 11th, an exciting international boxing card at the UAT Gymnasium in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico,
It is headlined by former world champion Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt, who will face the dangerous Venezuelan knockout artist, Edixon Perez.
The fight card, presented by Zanfer Boxing and BXSTRS, is supported by the Reynosa government and the World Boxing Council (WBC).
As part of the lead-up activities to this great event, legendary former world boxing champion and pioneer of women’s boxing, Jackie “La Princesa Azteca” Nava, captivated the audience with her inspiring master class titled “The Power of Your Fear.”
The event, held at the Reynosa Sports Center and also attended by Mayor Lic. Carlos Peña Ortiz, offered an intimate and powerful perspective on how fears, far from being paralyzing, can become the greatest source of strength and motivation for achieving success.
Speaking before a diverse audience that included athletes, students, and the general public, Nava shared an honest journey through her life and career, from her humble beginnings to being crowned world champion in multiple divisions.
“Fear is a voice, not a sentence. It’s the alarm that tells you what’s important to you. Instead of running from it, I learned to use it as my strictest trainer, pushing me to prepare more, to be stronger, and to take nothing for granted,” the former boxer commented.
The message from “La Princesa Azteca” resonated deeply with the audience, which gave her a standing ovation at the end of the talk.
Jackie Nava, recognized not only for her accomplishments in the ring but also for her activism and career as a legislator continues to demonstrate her commitment to empowerment and personal development outside of boxing.
“The Power of Your Fear” is established as one of the most motivational talks in the current landscape.
