The World Boxing Council was in Los Angeles to speak with former WBC Super Lightweight World Champion Regis Prograis.
During the interview we had the opportunity to talk about his next matchup, which will be held in Dubai against Tyrone McKenna. We also talked about his ambitions as a professional fighter, his goals achieved, his pending aims, his family and about his recent incorporation into Richard Schaefer’s Probellum.
“Rougoraou” is eager to start his 2022 with both his gaze firmly focused toward another world title fight at 140 pounds. Since he lost via majority decision to current undisputed world champion Josh Taylor on October 26, 2019 in England. Since that, Regis has landed two devastating knockouts in a row over undefeated prospect Juan Heraldez and world title challenger Ivan Redkach.
With a record of 22-2-1, 6 KOs, Tyrone ‘The Mightly Celt’ McKenna, of Belfast, Northern Ireland, wants to be the fly in the pelt, and the anticipation has been growing apace, since the fight was confirmed. Most recently, he won a ten-rounds decision against José Félix on August 6, 2021 in Belfast.
