Champion Felix Alvarado may not be able fight on December 23 against World Boxing Council light flyweight champ Ken Shiro, due to bronchitis.
Alvarado fell ill in Nicaragua before joining the training camp in Miami, but according to his agent William Ramírez, he`s not yet shaken it off sufficiently to train flat out.
In the coming days it will be defined, assessed and decided if Alvarado, who`s IBF champion, is well enough plus sufficiently fit to try and unify crowns by taking on undefeated, hale and hearty Ken. Or a delay is needed.
Felix has 35 wins and only 2 losses, Shiro is undefeated with 16 wins and 9 of them by knockout.
