Last May 8th the world day against ovarian cancer was commemorated, and we believe that it is a subject that needs to be addressed, as it is one of the most invasive and dangerous cancers that exist and no woman is exempt from its dangers.
What is ovarian cancer?
According to the Mayo Clinic and the American Cancer Society, it is a growth of malignant cells that rapidly form in the ovaries and begin to invade and destroy healthy tissue.
Most common symptoms:
• Abdominal swelling
• Radical weight loss
•Fatigue
•Pain
• Very frequent need to urinate
How does physical exercise help a person before, during and after cancer treatment?
• Promotes the integral functioning of the body
• Reduces the feeling of fatigue
• Help with anxiety and depression problems
• Improves muscle strength
• Improves bone strength
• Strengthens the immune system
You must be guided by medical supervision at all times, as each case is individual and treatment should not be generalized.
Although this cancer is very frequent and very invasive, it can be prevented by having a healthy life and creating the habit of going to the doctor at least once a year, to check that everything is fine. Timely action is life saving.
