Chiquita Gonzalez confirms Attendance at WBC Hamburg Convention 2024

The WBC Hamburg Convention 2024 promises to be one of the best gatherings in our history as the WBC will hold its 62nd Annual Convention and 4th World Women’s Boxing Convention from December 8-14, 2024.

We are thrilled to announce Humberto Chiquita Gonzalez will be one of our Special Guests.

Chiquita González stood out for winning the WBC and IBF light flyweight titles three times, to the point of being recognized as one of the greatest in history in his division.

In 1989, in South Korea, he beat Yul-Woo Lee by unanimous decision and obtained the WBC light flyweight title.

In 1991, in Las Vegas, he beat Melchor Cob by unanimous decision and obtained the IBF and WBC light flyweight titles.

In 1994, in Los Angeles, he beat Michael Carvajal by unanimous decision and obtained the IBF and WBC light flyweight belts.

González retired from boxing at the age of 29, after his last fight against the Thai Saman Sorjaturong.
