Boxer and nurse from Cancun, Cristian “Cirujano” Valerio, has received the recognition “Hero of Mexico”, awarded by the World Boxing Council and the Scholas Ocurrentes Foundation.
This staunch distinction, is a hugely significant recognition of his dedicated work and intrepid fight against Covid-19 in specialized areas, to combat this disease.
In commemoration of the “Day of the Nurse” in Mexico, Cristian received the replica of the MAZAHUA belt from the hands of David Martínez, Director of the Municipal Sports Institute in Benito Juárez, accompanied by Eliseo González Gonzalez, President of the local Boxing Commission.
“I don’t feel like a hero, I know I do my duty, but I thank you very much for the recognition. This award motivates me to work even harder.”
Cristian “Surgeon” Valerio, recommended the population not to lower their guard and prudently maintain the security measures established, to avoid the spread of COVID.
Cristian “Cirujano” Valerio, is one of the 32 “Heroes for Humanity” awarded with the recognition that includes a replica of the WBC Mazahua-Otomí Belt.
