Height of motivation for “Canelo” at The Garden
World Boxing Council’s middleweight champion, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, is focused and motivated to fight for the first time at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York, on December 15 against Rocky Fielding.
“I would like it to be the first of many battles there. Fighting at Madison Square Garden is another milestone in my career and it is very motivating for me.
“Winning by KO is always impressive, and I am preparing to do my level best in this fight. I’ll dish up and dish out a great fight at Madison Square Garden.”
With 50 wins, 34 knockouts and only one defeat, Canelo now faces the next important challenge in his career against Fielding (27-1, 15KO’s), a British fighter who is full 10 centimeters taller than him.
“I’m not worried about the difference in height. I’m preparing to counter it. I’m a fighter who can adapt. ”
Canelo is climbing up to 168 pounds and this tall order, in order to join the select club of Mexicans with three world titles in different divisions.
