
Haney wins WBC International crown
In an entertaining bout, lightweight American Devin Haney defeated South Africa’s Xolisani Ndongeni with a 10-round unanimous decision in the main at the StageWorks in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Haney sent Ndongeni to the canvas in the second round and he dominated the fight clearly winning with scorecards of 100-89, 99-90 and 100-89.
With this important victory, Haney captured the World Boxing Council International title, in addition to improving his record to 21-0, with 13 knockouts. While Ndongeni left the ring with a record of 25-1, with 13 knockouts.
