Former Kazakhstan world champion Christina Hammer was scheduled to face Finnish Sanna Turunen for the Interim Middleweight World Boxing Council title on October 31 in Munich, Germany, but
Unfortunately Petko’s Box Promotion, organizers of this evening, had to postpone it due to the increase in the level of Covid-19 cases in the region.
This is what Petko’s Box Promotion wrote on their social networks:
“Dear colleagues, guests and boxing fans, unfortunately the situation of the pandemic has worsened in recent days, so we have overcome the critical incidence in the Munich district. Due to the situation it is impossible for us to hold the boxing event at this time and we will have to postpone it until further notice. We have fought hard for it and we have put our blood into developing all the measures to get the event underway in these difficult times. We are primarily sorry for our athletes who have been preparing for their matches for weeks. We thank our partners and guests who are by our side and have supported the event at any time. We remain in close contact with the authorities and will announce the new date as soon as possible.”
