The red, white and Green of the Mexican Flag will flutter above the Massive Boxing Class, this Saturday morning in the Zócalo of Mexico City.
All of the participants will wear t-shirts, which have a chip with these tones, to break the Guinness Record as the largest class in the world.
From this Tuesday and until June 16, the kits are being delivered to the 40,000 participants who registered, but because the Zócalo has limited space, they expect 15,000 to 20,000 people to participate.
Due to the above, the participants will be given a different color of shirt to be able to form the national flag in the Downtown, and they must enter through different streets from 6:00 a.m.
Green shirts will enter through the corner of 5 de Febrero and Venustiano Carranza; the red shirts on the corner of Pino Suárez and Venustiano Carranza; the white shirt on the corner of 20 de Noviembre and Venustiano Carranza; and the beige shirt on the corner of 20 de Noviembre and República de El Salvador.
The objective of this distribution is to capture the national flag on the Zócalo template. While people who can no longer access the Plaza de la Constitución or who have not registered will be placed on 20 November Street.
To break the Guinness Record, the Massive Class will be continuous, it will not be able to stop. Participants will only be able to take two 20-second breaks to hydrate during the class.
The world champions Mariana “Barby” Juárez and Ana María “Guerrera” Torres, as well as the WBC junior champion “Rey” David Picasso, will be the instructors for the Massive Boxing Class in which they seek to break the Guinness Record as the largest boxing class in the world, a mark held by the city of Moscow with 3,300 participants in 2017.
