Thanapol Bhakdibhumi was appointed as Major General of the Royal Thai Army. General Thanapol, who is the President of the WBC Asian Boxing Council, International Secretary of the World Boxing Council and a dedicated promoter of Muay Thai throughout the world, is the son of the lifetime member of the WBC Supreme Council, General Kovid Bhakdibhumi.

Mauricio Sulaimán inaugurated the Emporio gym in Alcorcón, Madrid, as the first High Performance Center for the development of boxing, endorsed by the WBC in Spain.
