
The program presented by TV Azteca, “Volvemos con Punch”, where there were live boxing matches, marked the return of the sport after several months of non activity, and Special Olympics Mexico featured prominently.
For this important event, Special Olympics Mexico and the World Boxing Council shared a video conference, where in coordination with Tv Azteca they enjoyed the “Volvemos con Punch” boxing show.
As a special guest was former world champion Cristian Mijares, who along with Victor Silva, Paul Landeros and José Landeros, members of the WBC, commented on boxing and aspects of the fights that took place.
The athletes from Special Olympics Mexico introduced themselves and listed the achievements they have made representing Mexico. Cristian Mijares congratulated them and promised to have a boxing clinic with them soon.
Special Olympics Mexico is a program that offers sports training and athletic competition throughout in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing them with continuous opportunities to develop their physical condition, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a exchanging gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.
