Julio César Chávez and Jorge “Travieso” Arce put on a wonderfully spirited non stop show in their third exhibition fight.
Both former champions who trained hard and diligently for this, did not disappoint by giving of their supremely skilled vintage best. JC Chávez took home the WBC Otomí belt in recognition of his brilliant career. The two boxers started to dish and deal blows from the opening bell, showing signet ring skills.
The fans were able to enjoy a real battle…even once the agreed rounds were over. To the delight of the fans, fired and tempered by the heat of battle, El Travieso and Chávez kept going, so their corners had to intervene to separate them…or a fifth round would have been fought!
These warriors faced each other for the third time to support social causes, namely the rehabilitation of young people with addiction problems in the Baja del Sol Clinics through the Julio César Chávez Foundation, and the building of houses for marginalized families in Hermosillo.
