Absolute WBC super flyweight champion Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada says he’s seeking a title fight at bantamweight after the unification against WBA champion Kazuto Ioka failed to materialize.
“Gallo” is now aiming at the Gallo weight division and says he must stay busy with four fights in the coming year, the first of which should be as early as March. His most recent fight was against Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez on December 3rd last year, which he won by MD. At this week`s WBC Martes a Cafe, Juan Francisco and World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman both presented Carlos Cuadras with the WBC super flyweight Interim belt, which Carlos won by defeating Pedro Guevara at the Convention in Uzbekistan. Gallo who`s fought “Medicine Man” twice and defeated him in both highly entertaining bouts, has left the door open to a third possible clash.
Meanwhile, Carlos Cuadras himself is basking in his comeback glory saying it’s a dream come true which he’s pursued for a long time, and it motivates him to go even further. He says he would relish, love and be an eager beaver for another fight against Juan Francisco and it would be perfect in the next year, promising him a huge helping of “Medicine.”
