
WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster, along with Golden Chick fast food restaurant brand, support low-income children and young students in the Orange, California community.
At the event called SCHOOL SLAMDOWN, Back-to-School Drive, gifts and more than 200 meals and 200 backpacks with school supplies were distributed, as well as boxing gloves autographed by champion Foster.
The champion commented on his social networks: “The Back to School Campaign was a success. I was able to give away 200 free meals and almost 200 more backpacks.
“I want to thank everyone who came to support the movement, it’s just the beginning. I also want to thank my family for helping to organize this event. I couldn’t have done it without you.
“And thanks to Golden Chick for partnering with me to make this a huge success. I appreciate the opportunity. This is just the beginning.”
O’Shaquie Foster was crowned world champion by defeating Mexican Rey Vargas by decision on February 11 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, putting his hometown of Orange, California, on the map.
