In another chapter of the work in Unit 9 La Plata of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service a motivational talk from former cruiserweight champion of the World Council of Boxing, Marcelo Domínguez.
It’s aim is to inspire and motivate inmates with stories of personal improvement.
“El Toro” Domínguez, arrived at the jail located in the city of La Plata accompanied by Gustavo Zacarias, Silvia Da Silva and Omar Santamaría; all members of the social program “Boxeo Sin Cadenas”, supported by the WBC, with a long history help in prisons.
On behalf of the penitentiary institution, there were the Physical Education Professors Sebastián Desocio, Juan Manuel Stori, Guillermo Ramos and Christian Fiz, who were in charge of the organization.
A boxing clinic and training in the Unity gym to show some techniques to those present by the champion.
Marcelo explained and stressed: “It is essential to permanently train to have tools to excel in life. Do it and you will be better people, in my case I continue taking courses because I like to be updated and up to date.”
Accompanied by the Director of Culture and Sports of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service Javier Lanchas and representatives of the provincial Ministry of Justice, a recognition was given to the coach Gustavo Zacarías, by the prisoners themselves.
