
The famous Spanish film director José Luis Garci has been recognized by the World Boxing Council as a key element in the dissemination and enhancement of boxing.
Garci, who has just turned 80 and is still as active as ever, is not only a director who won recognition from the Hollywood Academy by winning the Oscar for best foreign language film, but day by day through the media, he continues to spread and disseminate the values of noble art. It is notable that in a good part of his films, boxing is always present and is treated in a noble and constructive way.
The WBC is proud to recognize and thank “The Director” for his immense work in favor of our sport.
