Fighting for Peace

We believe that every person, regardless of gender, religion or socioeconomic status, deserves an equal opportunity to realize his or her potential. We utilize the sport of boxing to promote socio-economic mobility and to build a shared society.

Through Gloves and Doves, Jewish and Arab youth gain the life skills, self-confidence and connections to pursue their dreams and build a greater future together.

Boxing is unique in that it necessarily fosters respect among its competitors. This sport is a way that Jewish and Arab kids can form lifelong relationships with one another.

Our boxing program integrates children from diverse religious and socio-economic backgrounds .

Mission Statement

To promote peace and understanding to both Jews and Arabs, Israelis and Palestinians through the sport of Boxing. Gloves & Doves will offer both recreational and competitive boxing as a means and direction to focus the minds of children and young adults, to give hope for both a positive and productive future. Helping to ensure the youths stay away from terrorism, violence, drug addiction and crime.

Objectives

Run after school boxing club programs to students / youths at risk.

Deliver recreational and competitive boxing classes and coaching.

Develop a squad of amateur boxers representing club, region and country. Where everyone can fight together on the same team in annual tournaments.

Work with partner organisations to help deliver the message of peace.

Offer a career path, through the sport for talented athletes wanting to progress and earn an income through professional boxing.

Promote and encourage more females to take part in our program and to compete in our events.

Gloves and Doves will help to ensure troubled youths do not give up hope and work towards keeping them away of miss led thoughts, which could lead towards dangerous groups who have a violent agenda that could lead to ruined lives and communities.

The Sport

Boxing reaches out to the places that other sports don’t reach. Why? Because it engages with young people on their own terms and recognises that frustration and aggression that is so often the hallmark of teenage years.

It reaches into the underground world which engulfs so many school drop-outs, which many other forms of social engagement cannot penetrate.

And, crucially, boxing gives young people a sense of worth and self-esteem. They stop labelling themselves as drop-outs; the frantic quest to prove themselves by bravado is not necessary.They no longer feel that they have to pick fights, but can walk away. Boxing gives them the confidence to give school a go and to make job applications.

The Gloves and Doves Project

NATIONAL / INTERNATIONAL BOXING EVENTS / GLOVES AND DOVES TROPHY

Each year Gloves and Doves will host a boxing tournaments, where both Jews and Arabs from Israel will fight on the same team together against a different club, team or country. promoting the message of peace. Gloves and Doves Kit will be worn by the competitors from Israel and Coaches. The event will be publicised in the Media to both National and International press and on-line media.

Tony Milch (Founder) is a well known figure in the Boxing World after dedicating most of his life competing and being actively involved in the sport.

Gloves and Doves in Action

Milch has already promoted three boxing shows in his first year, since moving to Israel in 2021(Isfiya, London and Majid al Krum). He delivered the message of unity by having a joint team of Jews and Arabs fighting together on the same team in both national and international competitions.
