Champion Jessica McCaskill, will defend her super lightweight title of the World Boxing Council against former Argentine champion, Erica “Pantera” Farias, in a cliffhanger rematch, this Saturday, at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.
When they first fought last year, McCaskill (7-2 3 KOs) snatched the WBC crown from Farias (26-3 10 KOs) in the very same arena. That night both warriors offered a great fight, worthy of a rematch.
“Pantera” is already in Chicago with her team, very motivated by the opportunity to recover the crown.
“I have enjoyed every day of my training, with dedication, commitment, and above all with much love. I want to be crowned again as WBC world champion. I will get back my belt, I want to have it again with me. The fight will be in the same city, in the same stadium, only now I am going to reverse history,” vowed Farias.
