This combination of fights of great interest in the super flyweight division, was born from the innovative series called “SUPERFLY” promoted some years ago by Tom Loeffler and HBO. Great matches were organized starred by boxing superstars: “Chocolatito”, Estrada, Cuadras and Srisaket Rungvisai.
Chocolatito snatched the WBC title from Cuadras, Rungvisai did the same against Chocolatito and Estrada was crowned champion by beating Sor Rungvisai.
Also, as part of these matches “Gallo” Estrada beat Cuadras in a final eliminator that qualified him to face Sor Rungvisai.
It was an even match that was defined by the knock down that Cuadras suffered in the tenth round, that point gave the now champion the victory. This rematch is one of the most keenly anticipated fights in the world of boxing.
The winner of this fight will have to face the mandatory challenger of the division, the Thai Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (Wisaksil Wangek), who comes from defeating the Filipino Jomar Fajardo by knockout in the second round, on October 3. The fight must take place within the next 120 days, after knowing the winner of Estrada vs. Cuadras II.
