
The World Boxing Council and its champions visited the Hospital Materno Infantil in Reynosa, to bring toys, t shirts, and love plus messages of hope and inspiration to the youngest and most vulnerable in our society.
Superstar Champions Carlos Zarate, Alfonso Zamora, Erik Morales and Miguel Berchelt were at hand.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman distributed masks and gel supplied by the staff.
They went into inner sanctum of the pediatria ward.
Outside the main entrance of the hospital on a window ledge lies a rosary, candle, photo and the message: Juntos hacemos la diferencia.
Together we make the difference.



Outside the Maternal Infants Hospital in Reynosa, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman pitched a soft plastic baseball to four division superstar boxing icon Erik Morales, who on his second strike, hit a huge home run, much to the delight of staff and other folk.
If concluded the WBC Cares visit to the hospital but there is still more activity including the Inauguration of the Jose Sulaiman Museum, commemorating the legendary career of The Father of Modern Boxing, who was WBC President for more than thirty eight years, pioneering safety, innovation and vital tangible change.
It’s leading up to huge fight night on Saturday starring Miguel “Alacran” Berchelt.
Mauricio said: “Tamaulipas is the State where my parents were born, where my siblings and I grew up and just to be back here is very special in all ways.
“As an inspiration to youth, when you are young and you see a supreme boxing event up close, then you gravitate towards sports. I’m certain this is the course of the River for boxing in Tamaulipas.”
And about the Inauguration of the Jose Sulaiman Boxing in Reynosa, Maurico said: “It was my Father’s dream to be recognized in his home State, so we are eager to see and experience this.”
