Eddy Reynoso receives the 2023 National Sports Award

Acclaimed Mexican trainer, Edison Omar Reynoso Sandoval, received the 2023 National Sports Award in the coaching category, as the most outstanding trainer of the year, via his work as a coach of great Mexican sporting stars.

Eddy went to the National Palace in Mexico City with “Canelo” Álvarez to receive the well-deserved award that he received from the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and the director of CONADE, Ana Gabriela Guevara.

Canelo was already awarded the National Sports Award, but in 2018. So now it was his turn to recognize his coach who has been in his corner throughout his career. Canelo has fought  63 fights, 59 wins, two draws and two losses.

“I feel very proud and happy for everything that has happened to me in boxing. It was an honor to have shared this day with athletes who are succeeding abroad, with Paralympic athletes who have left their mark on our sport,” commented Reynoso.
